here is an activity for you to do at home. I would love to see them when you are done!
Activity 1 Construct a model of the arm. Bring your arm to school and explain how it works.
Materials needed:
pushpin -get from teacher
two paper towel tubes
glue and masking tape
two rubber bands
two paper clips
ball which fits on paper towel tubes
Glue the ball to the end of the toilet paper tube. Most of the ball should be on the outside of the tube.
Poke holes about 3 cm from the open end on each side of the tube.
Poke holes on opposite sides of the other tube, about 5 cm from one end.
Unbend the paper clips and slide one into each tube through the push pin holes, leaving equal amounts of the paper clips on both sides of the tube. Fold those sides of the paper clip up toward the closed end of the tube.
Hang a rubber band from each side of the paper clip and secure to the tube with masking tape.
Place the two tubes together with the ball in the middle. The paper clipped ends should be facing away from the ball.
Stretch the rubber bands and hook them to the paper clips on the other tube. Tape them in place.
Tape the top rubber band in place 5 cm below the ball. Separate the sides of the rubber bands so that it wraps around the ball, then tape it to the ball.

We will be doing this at school after we have learned about muscles.
sample circuit training How do you keep those muscles strong and healthy? Choose 5 muscles you have studied. Design a fitness circuit with 5 stations that we can do in the school playground that will target those muscles.
1. Draw a diagram of your fitness circuit. 2. Explain each exercise and which muscle it is strengthening. 3. Be ready to having the class use your circuit during DPA.
